Update Committee – Add Member (Test Proposal)

Abstract

This Governance Action is submitted solely for testing and educational purposes. The proposal utilizes the “Update Committee – Add Member” action type to validate governance workflows, tooling, and infrastructure across the Cardano ecosystem. No actual change to the current Constitutional Committee is intended or requested.

As Cardano governance continues to mature, it is important for community members, DReps, SPOs, and governance tooling providers to gain practical experience with real Governance Actions. Testing governance infrastructure using low-risk proposals helps identify operational issues, improve user experience, and increase confidence in the end-to-end governance process.

This proposal serves as a practical exercise to verify that submission, discussion, voting, and enactment mechanisms function as expected.

The proposed committee addition is not intended to alter the composition, authority, responsibilities, or decision-making process of the current Constitutional Committee.

The sole purpose of this Governance Action is to test governance infrastructure and validate ecosystem readiness for handling committee update actions. By using an existing governance action type in a transparent and controlled manner, the community can gain valuable operational insights without pursuing any substantive governance change.

Voters are encouraged to evaluate this proposal in the context of governance process testing rather than as a proposal seeking constitutional or organizational modifications.
